Jubal Entertainment, Inc. uses the Oakland Music Festival as one of several vehicles to raise money to promote Youth
Intervention, Health, and Wellness. A portion of the proceeds from the Oakland Music Festival is donated to Youth Health
International and other non-profits who promote youth and family health and wellness beginning in Oakland and the Bay Area
and eventually stretching across the United States.
Currently, Jubal Entertainment in conjunction with Youth Health International is bringing Theraputic Storytelling Intervention, Inc. from New Zealand to the Oakland Public Schools. Youth Health International will pay for all books and the training of teachers. TSI uses storytelling techniques to train children how to increase their self-worth by developing a purpose in life. The students develop a purpose in life and self-worth skills as they take ownership of their lives as they identify with the main character of the story. This main character has some character flaws which are overcome during the telling of the character's story.
Jubal Entertainment believes that a good neighbor policy is the highest honor that a corporation can fulfill in its fiduciary responsibilities to the community. Therefore, in addition to providing excellent and wholesome entertainment the whole family can enjoy, Jubal Entertainment has undertaken the support of Arts enrichment educational programs that have a healthful and calming effect upon the community. Arts enrichment educational programs produce the demonstrated effects in the participating students of:
- increased concentration levels - music forces one to discipline their mind in order to process the nuances of the arts. This discipline migrates to other areas of ones psyche,
- community awareness - art, more importantly music, is a community activity. The power of music is increased when shared
- higher collegiate graduation levels - participation in arts enrichment programs promotes goal definition and attainment
- stronger likelihood to refrain from teenage alcohol, drugs, pregnancy, and violence - arts enrichment programs discipline one to promote beauty and wholesomeness. Little precious time is available for negative influences
The partners of Jubal Entertainment do not own limitless financial resources, therefore, it is mandatory that we join in a partnership with you to promote these worthwhile activities. You can partner with Jubal Entertainment in several ways:
- Sponsoring events and venues - Your corporation can sponsor events and musical venues in conjunction with Jubal Entertainment. For example, with the upcoming event in the summer of 2005, you can be a Title, Presenting, or Local Vendor Sponsor. Request further information here.
- Make pro-bono donations - Your business can donate services and/or products for public auctions conducted by Jubal Entertainment. Notify us with a note
- Financial gifts and donations that go to 501(c)3 non-profit institutions - Jubal Entertainment can assist you distributing your tax exempt donations to organizations that participate in hosting programs that promote arts enrichment. Request information here
